My name is Daijah Cobb. I've been serving in the Military for eight years and practicing as a registered nurse for the last four years. I enlisted in the Army National Guard at 18 years old as a 74D CBRN soldier. Four years later, I graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a bachelor's degree in Nursing. One year later, I started travel nursing and was commissioned from the rank E5 sergeant to a Nurse Officer in the Army National Guard. Now, I work PRN as a Float Pool Nurse, and I go to drill one weekend a month. At 27 years old, I'm a registered nurse in the civilian world and a nurse officer in the Military. Honestly, joining the Military was never my goal, but it has been my best decision. The Military was a tool to get me through nursing school, and it has since opened so many doors for me.
